Agreed. Occassionally, one is able to actually advance their position or rise to new heights. Such as when we trip up stairs, or over our words.
Some mistake setbacks as total catastrophes, or allow it to further compile onto their "life sucks list".
Usually setbacks, compel us to move onto something different, even better; things that we may never had explored, otherwise.
Wow Mark, absolutely beautiful once again. Will you ever cease to amaze me?
I had long believed I feared what the future held. Then, as I've stated before, a wise man told me one can't really fear the unknown, which I'm still not entirely sure of ; however, I can't help but wonder & perhaps it's this time of year, if it's not quite fear, but excitement, like a kid on Christmas morning, overwhelmed with anticipation as to what will be waiting for them when their feet hit the floor & they start running for the gifts they are about to receive.
I, of course, always wore those footie pajamas as a child & inevitably slipped while making the turn to get to the presents, landing face first into the corner of the wall & receiving a bloody nose more times than not! Perhaps that what keeps a combination of excitement & fear in the mix for me. :-P
Well thank you! I wrote that several years ago, in one of my more optimistic times, in life.
I can tell you one thing for sure; you will "never" fall if you are too afraid to trip.
