When I read that statement by Samuel Adams, I can’t help but think of Colonel Allen West as an experienced patriot to fill a higher seat. Hopefully, someone with his military credentials could quite possibly also have the spine to adhere to our Constitution as the legal document that gives the enumerated powers to the federal government. Just my thoughts.
I really like Allen West, southernbelle. Patriots don’t necessarily need to be military men; but, there is no doubt, our military has some of the most honorable and decent people in our nation. We need people who thoroughly understand our original Constitution; and, will defend it, diligently, against all enemies – foreign and domestic.
